This American Flag Fruit Pizza is an easy dessert that is made from a sugar cookie mix topped with a sweet frosting and fresh berries.
  • 1 bag (17.5 oz) sugar cookie mix
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • Blueberries, rinsed and dried (I used 48)
  • Strawberries, rinsed and dried (I used 20-25)
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Use cooking spray to lightly coat a 12 x 17 baking sheet.
  2. Prepare the sugar cookie mix according to the directions on the package.
  3. Press the sugar cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes until lightly golden. Remove from oven and allow to fully cool.
  4. Remove the hulls from the strawberries, and cut the strawberries into vertical slices about ⅛ inch thick. Use similar-sized strawberries to make the stripes look more uniform. Place the strawberries in the fridge until you are ready to assemble the flag fruit pizza.
  5. In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until creamed. Add in the whipped topping, vanilla extract and powdered sugar and mix until creamy. Spread the frosting evenly over the cooled sugar cookie crust.
  6. Place blueberries in the top left corner of the sugar cookie crust. I used 48 blueberries (6 rows of 8 blueberries each). Place them close together but leave some space so the white frosting shows through.
  7. Before adding the strawberries to the flag fruit pizza, dab them with a paper towel to remove extra moisture. Make the red stripes on the pizza by starting at the top and laying strawberries in a row with the slices going in the same direction. Leave about an inch in between each row of strawberries. I made 5 rows on the flag fruit pizza.
  8. Cover the flag fruit pizza with plastic wrap and keep refrigerated until ready to serve.
