This is an easy pumpkin chocolate chip bread recipe that is moist and packed with chocolate chips. It's a delicious recipe to make in the fall.
  • 2 cups sugar
  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 can (15 oz) canned pumpkin
  • 2¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1½ teaspoons baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¾ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground cloves
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 bag (12 oz) chocolate chips
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine sugar and butter and mix well. Add in the eggs, canned pumpkin and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves.
  4. Add flour mixture to the wet ingredients while alternating between adding in the milk. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Grease and flour two 9x5 baking loaf pans. Pour the batter into prepared pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Allow the pumpkin bread to cool for a few minutes in the pans, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool.
  7. Baking Tip: If the center of the bread is not done, yet you don't want the tops of the bread to brown more, then lightly cover the top of the loaf with aluminum foil to prevent over-browning and continue baking 5-10 minutes until the center is done.
