Halloween Graveyard Cheesecake Dip
  • 2 packages (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • 6 Tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 4 Tablespoons brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 Tablespoons milk
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 15 Oreo Cookies, crushed
  • 5-6 Milano cookies
  • Small tube of black decorating icing
  • Halloween candy such as candy pumpkins, candy corn, worms or edible eyes to decorate the graveyard
  • Vanilla wafers, graham crackers or apple slices to serve with dip
  1. In a medium bowl using an electric mixer, beat the cream cheese and butter together until smooth.
  2. Add the cocoa powder and mix until well combined.
  3. Add brown sugar, salt, vanilla extract and milk, and beat until smooth.
  4. Slowly incorporate powdered sugar and mix together until mixture is smooth and creamy.
  5. Pour cheesecake mixture into a 11x7 or 9x9 dish and spread evenly.
  6. Place the 15 Oreo cookies into a plastic ziploc bag and seal. Use a rolling pin to crush the Oreos into small pieces. Sprinkle the crushed Oreos on top of the cheesecake mixture to make the dirt.
  7. Use the small tube of black decorating icing to write the words "RIP" on the Milano cookies. If the tube isn't small enough, then squirt black decorating icing into a piping bag to make it easy to write the words. Or create your own piping bag by using a small ziploc bag, squirt black decorating icing into it, then barely cut one corner of the bag and squeeze near the opening to write words on the cookies.
  8. Insert the Milano cookies into the dip to make tombstones, and decorate the graveyard using candy pumpkins, candy corn, worms, edible eyes or other Halloween candy of your choice.
  9. Serve dip with vanilla wafers, graham crackers or sliced apples.
  10. NOTE: This recipe makes about 16 servings and is perfect to take to a Halloween party. If making this recipe for a smaller group, cut the recipe in half. Also, this dip may be made in advance and stored in a covered container in the fridge for 3 days. If making it in advance, wait to add the cookies and Halloween candy on top until ready to serve.
