This Slow Cooker Beef & Broccoli is so easy to make. It only takes about 10 minutes to cut the meat, combine the ingredients for the sauce and put it all in the crock pot. I love that I don’t have to worry about dinner until it’s about time to eat. At that time all that’s left to do is to thicken the sauce with cornstarch, steam the broccoli and cook the rice to go with the beef and broccoli. I absolutely love that I invested in a rice cooker. Once you add the rice and water to the cooker and push the cook button, you don’t have to watch it or worry about it. After the rice cooks, it will stay warm until you are ready for dinner.

|Easy Slow Cooker Beef & Broccoli
- 1½ pounds sirloin or flank steak, sliced thin into 2 inch pieces
- 1 cup beef broth
- ⅔ cup soy sauce
- ⅓ cup brown sugar
- 1 Tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 4 cups broccoli florets
- 2 Tablespoons cornstarch
- 4 Tablespoons cold water
- Spray the inside of the crock pot with cooking spray. Place the cut up steak in the crock pot.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the beef broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil and minced garlic. Pour it in the crock pot over the steak.
- Cover and cook on high for 2-3 hours or on low for 4-5 hours.
- Thirty minutes before serving, in a small bowl whisk together the cornstarch and cold water. Add it to the crock pot beef mixture and stir. Cover and cook on high for another 25 minutes.
- A few minutes before serving, place the broccoli in a microwavable container with ½ inch water. Steam the broccoli in the microwave on high for 3 minutes. Or steam the broccoli on the stove top by placing the broccoli in a pan on the stove with ½ inch water. Cook for about 3 minutes.
- Drain the water from the broccoli and stir broccoli into crock pot.
- Serve the beef and broccoli over rice.
