Peppermint Oreo Truffles

Peppermint Oreo Truffles Christmas Holiday

I made these Peppermint Oreo Truffles for my family and they are yummy and chocolatey. I especially love the peppermint flavor when I bite into the truffle because I think of the holidays. What I also love about the truffles is that they only take four ingredients to make them. I had three of the four ingredients in my pantry, and only had to pick up the almond bark during one of my grocery shopping trips.

For the outside of the truffle, I chose to use almond bark but you could use a chocolate bar. You could even do half and half and make some truffles with white chocolate and some with chocolate.

Wrap up a handful of these truffles in a cellophane bag and add a tag and bow to make a sweet treat for neighbors and friends for the holidays. Here’s how to make the holiday Peppermint Oreo Truffles:

Bunny Paw Print Cookies

Bunny Paw Prints Cookies Easter

Since Easter is coming up soon, my kids and I decided to make a treat together that we could eat and also that we could share with others. We made these Bunny Paw Print Cookies and they turned out so yummy! My kids really enjoyed rolling the dough into small balls and making the indents on the cookies after they were baked. Plus, the cookies were so soft, and they had just the right amount of icing to make them taste delicious. These piping bags here make it easy to add the icing to eat paw print.

The recipe to the Bunny Paw Print Cookies is below, but here are a few tips: Once you make the dough, you’ll use a Tablespoon measuring spoon of dough and roll it in a ball to make the foot of the paw print. Then make three toes by using a teaspoon measuring spoon and rolling 3 separate teaspoons of dough into balls. Place the three small dough balls next to the large dough ball on a cookie sheet. (I only placed 6 paw prints per cookie sheet.) Using two fingers slightly flattened the larger dough ball. This will help it bake more evenly. Continue rolling out balls of dough for the paw prints until all the dough is gone.

The Best Gingerbread House Frosting (Only 3 Ingredients)

gingerbread-house-frosting-final

One of our traditions as a family every year is to make gingerbread houses. The kids have so much fun decorating the houses themselves. Rather than purchasing a gingerbread house kit, I purchase graham crackers and make this Gingerbread House Frosting below that is seriously the best frosting that holds the graham crackers together and keeps the candy on the houses. Plus, it’s only 3 ingredients! Since holiday candy can be expensive if you purchase a lot of different decorating options for the gingerbread houses, the way I save some money is to choose and purchase a few holiday candies and then use leftover candy from Halloween or other holidays.
