My husband gave me a Ninja Blender for Christmas, since my kitchen blender had been broken for months. It is so nice to have a blender again in the kitchen! I was really excited to try out some green smoothies, since one of my goals this year is to make even healthier food choices such as adding more fruits and vegetables to my diet. The past few weeks, my family has been trying out different green smoothies. There were some we liked, and there were some that we didn’t like. This Tropical Green Smoothie was one I really liked, and it tastes delicious!
Since fruits and vegetables can add up to be expensive every week when grocery shopping, I price match most of my produce to help me save money. Read the Buying Groceries on a Budget series to see how I shop. If I see produce on sale that I know I will use in the near future and it can be frozen (such as pineapple, strawberries, blueberries, etc.), then I’ll purchase it and freeze it for later if I’m not going to use it right then.
