This is one of my favorite simple chili recipes that can be thrown together at the last minute. I love to make cornbread to go with this meal. Thanks to a friend for sharing this with me.
Three-Bean Chili
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 large white onion
1 green pepper
1 large can diced tomatoes
2 T. cumin
1 can black beans
1 can chili beans
1 can pinto beans
celery (optional)
Directions:
Brown meat with onions. Stir in rest of ingredients. Let simmer. Serve with Fritos or tortilla chips, shredded cheese, and sour cream.
Hi Lisa! I make this same thing but put in a can of corn, delete the cumin, onion, and green pepper, and sprinkle my browned hamburger with taco seasoning. It’s a family favorite. Also, if you don’t have tortilla chips on hand, you can cut up a flour tortilla, deep fry the pieces and sprinkle them with season salt. They are way yummy!
Yum! Thanks for sharing!
