Utah Readers: Free Admission to Days of ’47 Family Fun Day (July 7)

To kick off the Days of ’47 celebration, there will be a Family Fun Day tomorrow, Saturday, July 7, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Utah State Fairpark. Admission and parking are FREE! You can bring your own lunch or you can pick up food from vendors.

The day’s activities will include:

  • The Days of ’47 Rodeo Games
  • Educational Crafts
  • Art Garden
  • Magic Show
  • Carnival Games
  • Pioneer Demonstrations
  • Live Music and Entertainment
  • Dancing
  • Mini King and Queen Royalty Competition

Families will be able to meet the rodeo staff and some of the animals, as well as learn how to rope a cow and other activities.

In addition, the Mini King and Queen competition will be held from 12-2 p.m. The Days of ’47 Royalty will interview the applicants and select the Mini King and Queen. Children between the ages of 5 and 12 are welcome to compete for a chance to win the crown and ride in the Youth Parade on July 14, 2012.
