This is a yummy and simple breakfast idea for the family. I found it in the Better Homes and Garden April 2012 issue.
Blueberry Cream Biscuits
2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder
2 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 cup blueberries
1 1/2 cups whipping cream
1 can blueberry pie filling or topping
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. In a large bowl stir together flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, and nutmeg. Toss blueberries with the flour mixture. Stir whipping cream into the flour mixture just until moistened.
2. Turn dough out onto a floured surface. Gently lift and fold dough four or five times, making a quarter turn between each fold. Place dough on parchment-lined baking sheet. Form dough in a 7-to-8-inch square, approximately 1 inch thick. Using a floured pizza cutter or knife, cut 12 to 16 biscuits, leaving biscuits intact. Bake in oven for 17-20 minutes or until golden brown. Cut or pull apart to serve. Serve with the blueberry pie filling or topping.
Oh yum yum yum! +1’s this! Thanks SO much for sharing.
Have a great weekend Lisa!
