Cherry Pie Bars

 Cherry Pie Bars

My friend made these Cherry Pie Bars the other day when we got together at her house.  She was kind enough to send some home with my family. I ended up eating the whole plate and my husband didn’t get any. Oops! Because they were SO delicious, I had to make them again! Plus my husband will get some too.  🙂

That would send me into a diabetic coma. Usually, when I do make a dessert, like this one, for instance, I use baking Splenda or Truvia in place of sugar, which works great. For topping, crushed nuts and diced dried fruit works fine. The pie filling would have to be Sugar Free or I would cook up my own.
