Biscuits Supreme

I was so excited about the Smith’s sale that I headed to Walmart to price match the awesome deals, as well as do some other grocery shopping too (I promise I did have other things to pick up) that I almost forgot to post the weekly recipe. These biscuits are pretty quick to whip together for dinner and they are moist and yummy.

Biscuits Supreme
2 cups flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons sugar
1/2 cup shortening
2/3 cups milk

Directions:
Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Cut the shortening into the dry ingredients until it is like course crumbs. Add milk all at once, and stir quickly with a fork. On a lightly floured surface, roll out dough 1/2 inch thick. Cut out biscuits (I use a cup or peanut butter lid so the biscuits look nice and round). Bake on ungreased baking sheet at 450 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
